Oregon football landed a pledge from 4-star defensive lineman Cam Prichett Monday evening, beating out the likes of Tennessee, Auburn, Florida State and Clemson in the process.
Pritchett, who stands at 6-3, 250 pounds, hails from Alabaster, Alabama and attends Thompson High School. He’s considered to be a top 200 prospect in the Class of 2027, No. 170 overall and No. 21 among edge rushers. Finally, he’s considered to be the No. 5 player out of Alabama.
Pritchett’s stock is likely to rise across the coming years, which can be shown by the long line of schools looking to invest after his 77-tackle, 14 TFL and 4-sack sophomore season at Thompson high school. In the past few months alone Pritchett received offers from USC, Baylor and Ohio State, as well as Oregon which offered Pritchett on May 7.
And what a start to June it has been for the Ducks, who now have 2 commitments in the Class of 2027 in the form of Pritchett and fellow 4-star prospect Prince Tavizon out of San Diego, California. It’s still very early, but the Ducks currently boast the No. 6 overall class in the 2027 cycle.
