Ohio State announced multiple changes to its 2029 schedule on Wednesday morning.

The Buckeyes have scheduled a game against Navy for Sept. 1, 2029. Ohio State will now open the 2029 campaign against the Midshipmen. Previously, Ohio State was going to open that season with Nevada. However, the Buckeyes will now face the Wolfpack on Sept. 7, 2030.

Ohio State also announced a matchup against Youngstown State, which will be played on Sept. 15, 2029 in Columbus.

That means Ohio State’s conference schedule for the 2029 season is now set. In addition to Navy and Youngstown State, the Buckeyes will also face Charlotte that September. In 2030, the Buckeyes are currently scheduled to face Nevada and Georgia in nonconference play with one vacancy remaining.

Ohio State and Navy have met 5 times before, but not since 2014. The Buckeyes are 5-0 all-time against the Midshipmen. This will mark the 3rd time Navy has made the trip to Columbus to face the Buckeyes in Ohio Stadium.

Future nonconference opponents for Ohio State also include Texas (2025 and 2026), Alabama (2027 and 2028). The Buckeyes will open the 2025 season against Texas on Aug. 30 in Columbus.
