UCLA beefed up its offensive line for 2026 by getting a commitment from 4-star talent Micah Smith on Saturday.

Smith announced his commitment to UCLA on his social media account on Saturday afternoon, and he did it with emphasis and excitement. The post by Smith was accompanied by the headline: “THANK YOU LORD JESUS!”

At 6-foot-6 and a whopping 320 pounds, Smith will immediately give the Bruins a mammoth piece that they can build their offensive line around. Smith will be traveling cross-country to play for DeShaun Foster‘s program, with the lineman a product of Vero Beach (Fla.) High.

Smith chose the West Coast over fellow Big Ten rivals Ohio State and Illinois, with Alabama, South Carolina, and Tennessee also being in the mix. He made spring visits to each school but decided UCLA was where he wanted to play his college ball.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Smith is the 165th-ranked player in the Class of 2026. He is also the 10th-rated interior lineman from the class and the 23rd-ranked player from the state of Florida, which annually turns out top talent to the college ranks.

Smith broke through in high school in South Florida as the starting right tackle at Vero Beach High in 2023. Interestingly, Smith played both ways as a junior last fall, playing right tackle on offense and posting 22 tackles with 6.5 for loss and 2.5 sacks on the defensive line.

He gives UCLA its ninth known commitment for the 2026 class. You can see his highlight tape below:
