Michigan is building some momentum for the 2026 recruiting class throughout June, and Wednesday brought another key pickup for Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines.
This time, the commitment comes from Zion Robinson, an elite wide receiver and productive playmaker from Texas. Miami and Stanford were also in Robinson’s final group after receiving offers from Nebraska, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Michigan State and Illinois, among others, before committing to Michigan.

Robinson is a big-frame receiver, listed at 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds out of Mansfield High School in Texas. According to the 247 Sports Composite, Robinson is a 4-star recruit and the 18th wide receiver in the nation for the 2026 recruiting cycle. He’s also the No. 132 player in the country, regardless of position.
On the football field, Robinson caught 42 passes for 527 yards and 8 touchdowns. Off the football field, he’s a multi-sport athlete who also participates in track and field and basketball.
Here’s a look at his junior highlights, via Hudl:
The addition of Robinson brings Michigan up to 13 hard commitments for the cycle, a group that currently ranks 22nd nationally per the team composite. Robinson instantly becomes one of the top players in that group, with the Wolverines currently holding commitments from 4 of the top 160 players in the country.
Now, we’ll see how Michigan can further boost that class before we reach the finish line.
