Oregon is looking to pick up some momentum for the 2026 recruiting class down the stretch of June, and the Ducks landed a key piece toward that end on Wednesday.
This time, Oregon landed its quarterback for the cycle, picking up a commitment from Bryson Beaver out of Vista Murrieta High School in California. Beaver is rated as a 3-star prospect by the 247 Sports Composite, but 247 Sports gave him a 4-star rating.
Beaver landed his offer from Dan Lanning and the Ducks on June 12, and he took an official visit to Eugene on June 20. Now, he’s committing as a key player in the cycle.
Oregon had been in pursuit of 5-star recruit Ryder Lyons, but he announced via “The Pat McAfee Show” a commitment to BYU. With Lyons off the table, the focus shifted to Beaver.
Listed at 6-foot-2.5 and 200 pounds, Beaver threw for over 3,200 yards and 33 touchdowns in the 2024 season. The composite rates Beaver as the 31st QB in the country for the 2026 recruiting class.
The pledge from Beaver brings Oregon up to 10 hard commitments for the cycle, in a group that ranks 29th nationally per the team composite. We’ll see how Lanning adds to the group before we reach the finish line.
