Ohio State is putting in work for the 2026 recruiting class, and the Buckeyes picked up another piece for the trenches on Saturday!

On Friday, Ohio State secured one key defensive line prospect for the cycle. That player came in the form of Damari Simeon, a 4-star recruit out of New Jersey.

On Saturday, Ryan Day and his staff doubled up on defensive linemen, this time landing a 3-star recruit out of IMG Academy. The player is Cameron Brickle, who eventually chose Ohio State from a final group that also included Maryland and Florida State.

Brickle is listed at 6-foot-2 and 305 pounds, already possessing impressive size for the next level. The 247 Sports Composite rates Brickle as the 62nd DL in the country for the cycle.

The addition of Brickle brings the Buckeyes up to 19 hard commitments for the cycle. That group is currently headlined by 5-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. and ranks 5th nationally per the team composite.

USC currently holds the No. 1 class in the country and the top class in the Big Ten, but the Buckeyes are still in the mix for the top class in the cycle. The average rating for players in Ohio State’s class trumps every program currently in the top 10, so there is plenty of time for a push for the top.
