Michigan or Notre Dame? Notre Dame or Michigan? It seems that the rivalry clash between two storied programs is the one game the media continues to flip-flop on.
Saturday night, No. 14 Michigan travels to South Bend to take on No. 12 Notre Dame in a renewed rivalry game with potential College Football Playoff implications — yes, even this early in the season. But who has the advantage? That’s the topic nobody seems to agree on right now.
College football analyst Tim Tebow offered his thoughts on the marquee matchup on Saturday night. And the former Heisman Trophy winner has some high expectations for Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines.
He doesn’t just expect Michigan to win, but win big over the Fighting Irish. He made the prediction while appearing on ESPN’s First Take. He also predicted a big win for Auburn over Washington.
“I think Auburn beats Washington, and I think Michigan beats Notre Dame,” Tebow said. “I think both of them win pretty handedly. When you look at the Auburn-Washington matchup, the best quarterback on the field is Jarrett Stidham. And the best defense is Auburn’s. I’m going to trust Auburn in that game.
“Look at Ole Miss and look at Shea Patterson and how he performed,” Tebow said. “Now look at him with that Michigan defense. I think you have a more trustworthy team than they have at Notre Dame.”
Those are the two matchups that everyone will be watching on Saturday, with most of the B1G eyes on that Michigan-Notre Dame contest.
College GameDay will also be in South Bend for the restored rivalry game.
