Ohio State lands latest elite WR with commitment from top Indiana recruit

Ohio State’s run of elite wide receiver prospects for Brian Hartline is unprecedented, and another prime recruit is coming to Columbus to play for the Buckeyes.
On Friday, Ohio State landed a commitment from Jerquaden Guilford, a 4-star recruit out of Indiana. Ole Miss, Michigan and Indiana were also still under consideration when Guilford made his commitment to play for Ryan Day.
Guilford is the 5th WR with a 4-star composite rating to join Ohio State’s 2026 recruiting class:

Guilford is coming off a breakout 2024 campaign that saw him post 556 receiving yards with 3 touchdowns. He’s listed at 6-foot-2.5 and 190 pounds out of Northrop High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
According to the 247 Sports Composite, Guilford has a 4-star rating and is the No. 50 WR in the entire country. He’s also the top player from the state of Indiana for the cycle.

The addition of Guilford brings Ohio State up to 21 hard commitments for the class of 2026, a group that currently ranks 6th in the country per the team composite. Only USC’s top-ranked recruiting class is better than Ohio State within the Big Ten.
