Oregon is on a recruiting tear. That continued with another blue-chip commitment on Saturday. Elite defensive back Davon Benjamin is the newest pledge for the Ducks.

Out of Westlake Village (California) Oaks Christian High School, Benjamin is listed as measuring 6-feet and 170 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Benjamin is rated 5-stars, the No. 4 safety, No. 7 player in the state of California and No. 35 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.

Benjamin’s talent attracted a who’s who of Power 4 programs from coast to coast. His 25 scholarship offers included Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M and UCLA.

Leading up to Saturday’s big decision, Benjamin took official visits to Michigan (May 30), Texas (June 6), Oregon (June 13) and Washington (June 20). He joined Oregon’s 2026 recruiting class on Saturday.

With Benjamin on board, Oregon now has 17 verbal commitments in its 2026 recruiting class, which ranks No. 7 nationally on the Composite. Fans can get a preview of what Benjamin brings to Eugene by checking out his highlights in the video below, via Hudl:
