Sometimes announcers need time to round into game form just like players.

ESPN’s team covering the Ohio State-Oregon State game Saturday has had a bit of a rough start. It is just the first week of the season, but a few errors were caught in the first half of the game between the Buckeyes and Beavers.

The first error came in discussing Ohio State QB Tate Martell and his path to the Buckeyes. It was mistakenly said Martell had originally committed to Washington under head coach Chris Peterson.

It also appears Dave Pasch misidentified Robert Landers as Nick Bosa and misspoke on the first name of Buckeyes QB Dwayne Haskins:

It is the first week of the season, and things can only go up from here.
