Ohio State impressed a number of people with Saturday’s season-opening win over Oregon State.

The Buckeyes left no doubt that they are equipped to deal with the absence of head coach Urban Meyer to begin the season. QB Dwayne Haskins was the star offensively as Ohio State put up 77 points in a dominating victory.

ESPN analysts Greg McElroy and Tom Luginbill were among those impressed by Ohio State’s start to the season. McElroy shared a brief video of the duo breaking down the big win, and Luginbill believes the Buckeyes may be the best team in the nation after Week 1:

“Pound-for-pound, maybe the best, most-talented team,” said Luginbill. “If I were to rank the teams right now, they might be No. 1”

McElroy shared a similar sentiment as Luginbill:

“If there’s a more talented team out there than Ohio State, I’d like to see them,” explained McElroy.

There’s a lot of action left in the football season, but the Buckeyes have the talent and depth to make a run at the College Football Playoff this season. So far this season, they have looked very impressive.
