The Big Ten is enjoying great success as an 18-team conference. On Friday, the conference announced that its first year as an 18-team league resulted in a record revenue distribution.
The conference distributed $1.37 billion in revenue to the 18 schools for the 2024-25 fiscal year, which concluded on June 30, 2025. Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington joined the Big Ten in August 2024. Oregon and Washington received a reduced revenue share for 2024-25.

July 2024 through June 2025 notably includes Ohio State’s college football national championship. While the revenue number focuses on just one year, the B1G’s press release notes the conference’s other successes, including recent titles. The Big Ten has claimed the past 3 college football national titles, starting with Michigan in the 2023 season, followed by OSU in 2024 and Indiana this past season. The B1G recently made history as the first conference to sweep the college football (Indiana), men’s basketball (Michigan) and women’s basketball (UCLA) national championships for 2025-26.
In August 2022, the Big Ten announced a 7-year, $7 billion media rights agreement with FOX, CBS and NBC. The deal began in 2023, though B1G football games did not begin airing on CBS until after the 2023 college football season. The media rights deal runs through the 2029-30 athletic year.
