Michigan won a big recruiting battle for one of the top wide receivers in the 2027 recruiting class.
Quentin Burrell is the newest Wolverine pledge. He announced his plans to play for Kyle Whittingham’s program on Tuesday via Rivals.
Out of Chicago (Illinois) Mount Carmel High School, Burrell is listed as measuring 6-3, 195 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Burrell is rated 4-stars, the No. 6 player in the state of Illinois, No. 14 wide receiver and No. 83 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.
As one might expect, Burrell was a highly sought-after prospect. He has collected 38 scholarship offers during his recruitment. Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennesseee and Texas A&M are among the programs that showed interest.
For Tuesday’s decision, however, it came down to Michigan, Notre Dame, Mizzou and Arizona State.
“What excites me most is the opportunity to carry on the tradition and excellence of Michigan football, compete on the biggest stage in the Big House, and play in the best conference in the country,” Burrell told Steve Wiltfong.
