Charles Woodson Jr., the son of former Michigan Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson, has committed to play college football for the Wolverines.
The 3-star defensive back made that announcement on Friday afternoon via Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett:
In addition to being a Michigan legacy, Woodson is a highly-regarded prospect. He’s currently ranked as the No. 804 overall player and the No. 82 safety in the nation for the class of 2027, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Woodson has several power-conference offers including from Oregon, Louisville, Kentucky and Vanderbilt, among others.
He attends Lake Nona High School in Orlando, Fla. He’s listed at 5-foot-11, 173 pounds.
His father won the 1997 Heisman Trophy while playing for the Wolverines. He went on to have a Hall-of-Fame NFL career that saw him make 9 Pro Bowl teams along with 4 first-team All-Pro nods.
Michigan is now up to 10 commits in the class of 2027. The group ranks No. 19 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
