UCLA football added its 23rd commitment of the 2027 cycle on Tuesday with the addition of 4-star safety Myles Baker out of Chatsworth, California. The standout safety was originally committed to Cal and flipped to the Bruins after originally committed to Cal in March.

Baker attends Sierra Canyon high school and committed to the Bruins over offers from Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Texas and Michigan, to name a few.

Baker stands at 6-foot-1, 205 pounds and is considered to be one of the 20 best safeties in the Class of 2027. According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Baker is the No. 241 overall prospect as well as the No. 20 safety and No. 18 player out of California.

UCLA’s 2027 class is quite impressive. The Bruins are the No. 17 class in the country per 247Sports and Baker is the 5th highest-rated of the group, sitting behind only 5-star ATH Juju Johnson, 4-star safety Jerry Outhouse, 4-star safety Pole Moala and 4-star DL George Toia. In addition to Outhouse and Moala, Baker enters a safety room that also includes 2027 commit Khalil Terry.

UCLA is set to start its season on September 5 against, funnily enough, the Cal Golden Bears.
