Maryland just added to its 2027 recruiting class in a big way.

The Terps have landed 4-star receiver Myles McAfee, according to On3’s Chad Simmons. McAfee is a blue-chip recruit and was one of Maryland’s top in-state targets for the class of 2027.

McAfee is a significant pickup for the Terps. He’s currently ranked as the No. 228 overall player and the No. 34 receiver in the nation for this cycle. He’s also the No. 5 player from the state of Maryland.

McAfee attends Archbishop Spalding in Severn, Maryland. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds. He’s set to join a Maryland offense that’s produced numerous productive receivers in recent years.

McAfee chose Maryland over numerous other top programs, notably Notre Dame. He visited South Bend last month, also taking trips to College Park and Blacksburg prior to finalizing this decision. Florida State and Nebraska are among the other programs who offered McAfee a scholarship in recent weeks.

McAfee is now the top-ranked recruit in Maryland’s 2027 class. He’s joined by one other 4-star prospect — cornerback Kenaz Sullivan. Overall, Maryland is up to 20 commits in this cycle. The group ranks No. 37 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
