Former Ohio State WR Chris Olave lands multi-year mega deal with Saints

Former Ohio State standout wide receiver Chris Olave has apparently found a long-term home in New Orleans.
According to a report on Thursday afternoon by ESPN, the Saints are set to sign Olave to a four-year extension that’s worth up to $132 million. The reported deal includes a mammoth $90 million of guaranteed money for the 26-year-old who played at Ohio State from 2018-21.
Olave’s agents, Drew and Jason Rosenhaus, and Robert Bailey, told ESPN of Olave’s mega extension.
The Saints took Olave with the 11th overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft and Olave has rewarded the franchise with its selection. In 55 career games over 4 seasons, he has piled up 3,728 yards and 19 touchdowns.
The 2025 season was Olave’s best yet, as he hauled in exactly 100 passes for 1,163 yards and 9 touchdowns. All of those were career highs for Olave, who was a first-team All-Big Ten selection for the Buckeyes in 2020 and 2021.
Olave was also a third-team All-Big Ten selection for Ohio State in 2019, as he made his presence felt in Columbus. Now, he’s thriving at the NFL level for the Saints, as Thursday’s reported extension showed.
