FOX announces big ratings for Oklahoma vs. Michigan Week 2 game

FOX aired Week 2’s SEC-Big Ten battle between Oklahoma and Michigan. Just like 2025’s game in Norman, this one went the way of the home team as the Wolverines knocked off the Sooners 17-10 in Ann Arbor.
It led to some big ratings for FOX during its prime Big Noon Saturday slot. According to the network, an average of 8,221,000 viewers ended up tuning in to watch the game. It topped out at 11,079,000 viewers. Per FOX, it outranked every other noon ET game that day.
Michigan has played two close games to start the season. The Wolverines controversially defeated Western Michigan in Week 1. This one didn’t involve nearly as much officiating drama as Kyle Whittingham’s team moved to 2-0. The Wolverines host UTEP in Week 3.
Meanwhile, it’s a disappointing early-season loss for the Sooners, who are looking to return to the College Football Playoff. John Mateer completed just over half of his 33 passes for just 189 yards, throwing for both a touchdown and an interception. He also ran the ball 13 times for 45 yards. Oklahoma returns home to wrap up its nonconference schedule in Week 3 against New Mexico before SEC play begins at Georgia in Week 4.
