Three Takeaways From August’s Michigan Online Casino Revenue Report

Michigan online casinos continues to put up solid revenue numbers in August.
Last month, the 15 MI online casinos brought in $303.0 million in revenue.
This was the sixth consecutive month that the iGaming in the state has provided at least $300 million in revenue.
Despite that, year-over-year growth took a step back to just 15.1% compared to a year ago. Even so, there’s still a lot of positives Michigan is seeing in its online casino industry.
Michigan’s Online Casino Revenue Breakdown in August
August was the fifth-largest revenue month for Michigan online casinos in their history. It marks the seventh time since December that the state has surpassed $300 million.

August Brings Lowest Percentage Growth in 2026
As noted, the August year-over-year growth for MI online casinos was just 15.1%.
This was the lowest growth rate for any month in 2026.
All other months from January-July saw at least 20% growth year-over-year.
While that can be a little concerning for Michigan, it’s also a sign of just how rapid the growth has been in the past. Keeping that kind of pace will get harder and harder each month.
By comparison, August 2024 had $196.7 million in revenue. So, in two years, Michigan online casinos have seen an increase in revenue totaling $106.3 million. Over two years, revenue has increased by 54%.
Prior to December, Michigan had never reached $300 million in monthly revenue. So, come August 2027, it is going to be hard for revenue to grow by another 15% compared to what it did last month. Eventually, a peak has to hit.
FanDuel Owns Top 10 Monthly Highs
BetMGM Casino Michigan was the clear iGaming leader in the state for years, but in 2025 FanDuel Casino MI surpassed BetMGM and hasn’t looked back.
Now with $72.7 million in August revenue, FanDuel now owns the 10 highest monthly revenue totals for a given operator. This most recent addition knocked BetMGM out of that list.

DraftKings Crosses $2 Billion in Revenue
In August, DraftKings Casino Michigan became the third operator in the state to surpasses $2 billion in lifetime revenue.
With its $44.3 million in August, that pushed DraftKings to $2.04 billion in lifetime revenue.
DraftKings has firmly been third among the state operators when it comes to revenue. It has created a lot of space from fourth-place BetRivers, while being notably behind FanDuel and DraftKings for the top spots.
When it comes to lifetime revenue in Michigan, here’s where the top five operators stand.

Collectively, the 15 online casino operators in Michigan have now produced $12.56 billion in lifetime revenue.
