Josh Pate reveals why he believes USC can take down Oregon

Josh Pate really believes in USC handing Oregon its 2nd loss of the still-young season on Saturday night when the ranked Big Ten powerhouses clash at the Coliseum.
The 12th-ranked Trojans are already 4-0 after playing their opener in Week 0, and they escaped at Rutgers last week in their Big Ten opener.
Meanwhile, Oregon (2-1) will be playing its Big Ten opener in Saturday’s primetime showdown (7:30 p.m. ET, NBC) while it tries to dig itself out of a September struggle that saw the Ducks barely beat Boise State in their opener before falling hard at Oklahoma State in Week 2.
Those struggles have moved Oregon from No. 2 in the AP Poll going into its opener to No. 20 entering the Week 4 matchup at USC that could determine whether or not it contends for that elusive first national championship.
Pate believes the slightly favored Ducks could be in more trouble come Saturday night.
“If Oregon starts going 8 for 13, 9 for 15 on third down and extending drives, that’s what gets USC in hot water. But here’s an answer I didn’t think I’d give you a month ago. If you told me Dante Moore and Jayden Maiava facing off in this game, I didn’t think I’d be siding with Jayden Maiava,” Pate said during his appearance on ESPN’s Get Up earlier this week. “He’s just flat out been a better quarterback this year. I didn’t think I’d say it, but that’s where we are right now, so I think USC will win the game.”
USC and Oregon will be hooking up on Saturday night at the Coliseum, and both teams have their eyes on the big picture in the Big Ten, as in contending for the Big Ten title. Here is what the Kalshi market is currently saying about the odds for both teams to win the conference crown in December:
