CFB insiders reveal Dante Moore injury details following Oregon-USC game

The college football world held its collective breath when Oregon quarterback Dante Moore took a dangerous hit to the head and was stretchered off the field during Saturday’s game against USC.

The Ducks’ star signal-caller was taken to a nearby hospital afterwards, with his team and coaches taking issues with the Trojans and how they handled the situation.

As a result, Oregon’s 41-27 victory was overshadowed by the health of its beloved QB, but initial reports indicate that Moore will be fine in the long run.

CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz revealed Sunday morning that sources informed him that Moore suffered a concussion from the hit but did not sustain any additional injuries. Thus, the Detroit native will go through appropriate protocols and look to return at some point this season.

Prior to exiting the contest, Moore completed 8-of-10 passes for 77 yards, with his scramble occurring during a second-quarter drive in the red zone.

Nebraska transfer Dylan Raiola stepped in afterwards and performed admirably, capping that possession with a touchdown before throwing for nearly 300 yards and another score.

Up next for the Ducks is a well-timed bye week before they gear up for a two-game homestand against a pair of current unbeatens. UCLA will visit Autzen Stadium for another West Coast battle before Nebraska comes to town the following weekend.
