It didn’t take long for Penn State to get on the scoreboard in Pittsburgh.
Less than three minutes into the game, KJ Hamler took an end-around sweep 32 yards for the touchdown, putting a few moves on Pitt defenders before sprinting to the end zone. The score gave the Nittany Lions an early 7-0 lead.

Hamler was big for Penn State in Week 1, catching the game-tying touchdown pass to force overtime against Appalachian State. He had three catches for 67 yards in the contest.
This was exactly the kind of start Penn State needed on the road.
