WATCH: Pitt had the worst punt attempt so far in 2018

This is not what the punter had in mind prior to the snap.

Pittsburgh and Penn State are battling it out in an in-state rivalry game, and the conditions are less than optimal. It has been raining throughout the game, which has produced some sloppy play in the first half.

Pitt botched the snap on a PAT after its first touchdown of the game, and it also affected the punter on this play. Kirk Christodoulou bobbled the snap in the wet conditions, but he made matters even worse. Instead of falling on the ball or trying to run with it, Christodoulou still tried to punt the ball with two Penn State players bearing down on him.

He never really made contact with his kick as he was smothered right as he began his punt. As a result, Christodoulou has the early candidate for worst punt attempt of 2018.
