Ohio State’s defensive line is no joke this season.

The Buckeyes have made it through two games this season, and one thing that has stood out from the two victories is the defensive line. Not only does it look to be the strength of Ohio State’s defense, but Cam Mellor with Pro Football Focus ranked the unit as the best in the country.

Though Nick Bosa receives a lot of recognition, sophomore DE Chase Young actually leads the unit in hits, hurries, and total pressures. However, Young currently has two sacks while Bosa and Dre’Mont Jones each have three.

Together, the unit is truly a nightmare for opposing teams to deal with. In terms of pass-rushing win percentage by team, the Buckeyes not only lead the nation but are more than two points higher than USF in second place. PFF College shared a graphic of the top units in the nation:

Ohio State’s offense is no slouch with QB Dwayne Haskins and a host of weapons, but the defense already looks like one of the best in the country. Now they just have to keep up the strong play when the Buckeyes take on TCU this weekend.
