WATCH: Former Hawkeye Josh Jackson scores special teams TD for Packers

Josh Jackson has been great for the Green Bay Packers so far in his young NFL career, but that shouldn’t be surprising for fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Jackson was a standout for the Hawkeyes in 2017, the year he really made his mark on Iowa football and jettisoned himself into the NFL.
Entering Iowa City as a 6-foot-1, 185 pound wide receiver, Jackson changed over to defensive back in year two and really hit his stride for the Hawkeyes. As mentioned above, 2017 was a banner year for the Corinth, Texas native. He led college football with eight interceptions and 26 passes defended, but also notched 48 tackles, a forced fumble and a blocked kick for the Hawkeyes — showing off some special teams presence.
Speaking of, that’s exactly what he did for the Packers on Sunday in their eventual tie with the Minnesota Vikings.
Jackson was in the right place at the right time on a blocked punt, and ever the ball-hawk, he caught the ball before it hit the ground and put the Packers on the board for their first touchdown of the game.

The play was Jackson’s first major one of his young NFL career, but he’s flashed plenty of big-play potential through the NFL preseason and now through two weeks.
Many expected Jackson to be a borderline first round draft pick, but he went as an absolute steal to Green Bay with the 13th pick of the second round.
