This former Penn State legend is getting another chance to kick in the NFL.
The Los Angeles Rams announced Monday evening that they have signed former PSU kicker Sam Ficken. Ficken was signed by the team after an injury to starting kicker Greg Zuerlein.
Ficken has kicked for the Rams before, appearing in two regular season games in 2017. He was 2-for-3 on field goals and 4-for-5 on extra points. He also appeared in the Rams’ playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Ficken finished his Penn State career as one of the all-time great kickers for the Nittany Lions. He is second on the school’s all-time list in field goals made (54) and points (271). Hopefully he can be successful with this opportunity with the Rams.
