Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa has recently undergone surgery for a core muscle injury he suffered in the Buckeyes’ 40-28 win over TCU, according to head coach Urban Meyer.
During his weekly radio show, Meyer talked about the injury to Bosa, which was labeled as an abdominal and groin issue. The Buckeyes head coach said the star defensive end recently underwent surgery for the injury.
Bosa is out indefinitely, but Meyer said “we hope to get him back as soon as possible.”
With Urban Meyer's comments today that star DE Nick Bosa had surgery for a core muscle injury and no timetable for his return, it's worth noting that #OhioState plays at #PennState next week.

Earlier this week, Meyer ruled Bosa out for Ohio State’s game against Tulane on Saturday. Now, it sounds like Bosa’s absence could extend past this Saturday and could potentially affect his availability for next weekend’s showdown between the Buckeyes and Penn State.
Bosa left in the third quarter of the TCU game on Saturday after being helped off the field. He had a noticeable limp after suffering what appeared to be a groin injury. Bosa returned to the sideline but was wearing street clothes.
After four games this season, Bosa leads the B1G with four sacks. He’s also record 14 tackles, six of which have been for a loss.
