Old Dominion has stunned the college football world.

Saturday afternoon, the Monarchs pulled off an incredible upset, taking down No. 13 Virginia Tech 49-35. It was ODU’s first win of the season and was also the first loss for the Hokies.

It’s easily the biggest upset of the 2018 season.

Old Dominion racked up 632 yards in the victory. Monarchs quarterback Blake LaRussa was extremely impressive, completing 30-of-49 passes for 495 yards and four touchdowns.

Virginia Tech was expected to be the biggest challenger to Clemson in the ACC. After Saturday’s loss, it’s hard to believe the Hokies are a true contender.

Before Saturday’s win over Virginia Tech, Old Dominion had losses to Liberty, FIU and Charlotte.
