Maryland is putting up a strong effort early on against Michigan with Ty Johnson providing some fireworks!
The Wolverines and Terrapins did not combine for much action early in the first quarter as both teams settled in to the contest. Michigan provided the first points of the game with a field goal late in the first quarter, but that lead would last for just a few moments.
On the ensuing kickoff, Johnson fielded the kick and found a seam up the left sideline. The Wolverines were unable to contain him, and he blazed all the way for a touchdown.
Johnson’s return went for 98 yards and was capped off by a stiff arm to free him up for the touchdown. Maryland on BTN shared the video of Johnson’s quick score:
Ninety-eight. Nine. Eight. That’s a 98-yard KO return for @TerpsFootball.
Stiff-arm at the end was just a bonus. pic.twitter.com/AWj0dqlfus
