Ty Johnson is a remarkable talent.
The Maryland RB has done a lot over his career with the Terrapins and Saturday highlighted all that he has accomplished. In the first quarter against Rutgers, Johnson broke off a 65-yard TD run to give the Terrapins a 10-0 lead:
On this long TD run, @T_Johns6 just became the fourth @TerpsFootball player to record 4K career all-purpose yards. 👏 pic.twitter.com/I6TiPAUs8v

The run itself of course was impressive. Johnson’s got great vision and speed. We already knew this.
But with that 65-yard scoot to the end-zone, Johnson accomplished a milestone that not many Minnesota players ever have:
With that run Ty Johnson becomes the 4th Terp in history to record 4,000 all-purpose yards!

Torrey Smith, LaMont Jordan and Stefon Diggs are the only other players in program history to get to 4,000 all-purpose yards. There are some pretty good names on that list, to say the least.
Now, Johnson is a part of it.
