There’s still two quarters to play, but Purdue senior wide receiver Isaac Zico has already put together a career day.

The Boilermakers 2-3 (1-1 Big Ten) are about to begin the second half with a 29-7 lead over Illinois (3-2, 1-1), much in thanks to an explosion of production from Zico. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Atlanta, Ga. native enters the third quarter with five catches for a career-high 127 yards and two touchdowns — one of which came on a 42-yard bomb with just nine seconds remaining before the break.

Here’s the magnificent play, which features Zico winning a jump ball for the score:

We might be seeing this one during Monday Night Football’s ‘You Got Mossed’ segment.

Prior to today’s matchup, Zico had collected 21 receptions for 304 yards and one touchdown in his collegiate career. At this rate, he’ll be close to doubling those numbers by day’s end.
