Seven weeks of college football are in the books, and the playoff picture is beginning to take shape with a handful of potential suitors vying for one of the top four spots.

But there are still six weeks left on the regular season slate — meaning a lot can happen between now and championship weekend. Until then, let’s check out ESPN’s updated Football Power Index (FPI) ratings to see what kind of impact Week 7’s chaos had on the top 25.

Here’s where the Big Ten stands as we head over to Week 8:

3. Ohio State (7-0, 4-0; LW: No. 2)

5. Penn State (4-2, 1-2; LW: No. 5)

6. Michigan (6-1, 4-0; LW: No. 6)

13. Iowa (5-1, 2-1; LW: No. 19)

16. Wisconsin (4-2, 2-1; LW: No. 11)

19. Michigan State (4-2, 2-1; LW: No. 24)

It’s curious to see Penn State ranked ahead of Michigan, but the FPI gives the Nittany Lions a higher chance to win out (19.3) than the Wolverines (10.4), and the two will meet on Nov. 3 in Ann Arbor.

Not shown above, Purdue (41), Northwestern (45), and Maryland (47) also collected wins over the weekend.
