Report: Nick Bosa focusing on NFL over return to Ohio State

Ohio State star defensive end is focusing his attention on the NFL rather than a return to Ohio State this season, according to a report.
Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch reported Tuesday that Bosa and his family will shift their attention toward preparing for the NFL draft over making a return to the field in Columbus this season. Sources told The Dispatch that once he’s cleared for activity, he will begin training for the 2019 draft.

The sources said that Bosa met with OSU coach Urban Meyer and some of his staff on Sunday to let them know of the decision he, his father John Bosa and the family had reached about his future.
During his weekly press conference on Monday, Meyer said he was “hoping” that Bosa would return at some point this season.
Bosa sustained a core muscle injury during the Buckeyes’ Week 3 matchup against TCU in Arlington, Texas. He left the game early and hasn’t seen the field since. A few days after the injury, he had surgery and has been rehabbing.
Initially, Ohio State was hopeful that Bosa would return at some point in the season. The family said that he would be re-examined in November and that a decision would be made about returning to the Buckeyes’ defensive line at that time.
Bosa, who is expected to be a first round selection, appears to not want to risk further injury or his draft status.
In three games this season, Bosa recorded 14 tackles, six for loss and four sacks. He was considered one of the top defensive linemen in the country.
