There are some really good quarterbacks leading really good college football teams this season.
Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa is one, but Oregon’s Justin Herbert, West Virginia’s Will Grier and Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins are some others. After the Buckeyes’ practice on Tuesday, Haskins spoke with reporters.
The full video can be seen below, but at the 2:30 mark, Haskins gets asked about his arm. To be exact, “It seems like you, just, would rather use your arm than doing just about anything else. Is that fair?”

Haskins’ response was, “I mean, I’d like to say my arm is pretty good, so, if I have the opportunity to throw, I would like to throw. But, just doing what our offense does and what the defense gives us.”
Haskins has every right to say that his arm’s pretty good. He got some chuckles from the reporters when he said it. It’s an interesting answer and obvious gloat. He may not have meant it in that sense, but, again, he has the right to.
Through 7 games, the Buckeyes are a perfect 7-0. Haskins has completed 72.3 percent of his passes for 28 TD and 4 INT.
Yeah, he’s playing well. And if he wants to talk the talk, he’s certainly walking the walk.
