Transfers seem to happen more often now than ever before.

Maybe there is just more coverage of it, and so it appears that way. Or maybe it’s just the reality.

Regardless, on Wednesday, Michigan spokesman Dave Ablauf confirmed the news that LB Drew Singleton was transferring from the Wolverines.

Singleton, a redshirt freshman, took a redshirt his first year at Michigan in 2017. He was ranked as the No. 79 player overall according to 247Sports in the Class of 2017.

So far in 2018, Singleton has received time on the field as a backup in four games. Apparently, he wants to start on Saturdays sooner than later.

Since he has already used his redshirt, Singleton will have to sit out a year once his transfer is finalized.
