Saturday night marks many of the marquee college football matchups each week.
For Week 8, that is no different — although it may not look like it on paper. No. 2 Ohio State is traveling to take on Purdue. The Boilermakers aren’t ranked, but since QB David Blough has taken over as the main signal caller, Purdue has performed much better as a team.
Its first sign of life this season came against a then-ranked No. 23 Boston College team, which the Boilermakers appeared to make easy work of, winning 30-13. Blough has had multiple 300-yard, multi-TD games since becoming the man in charge of the offense and freshman WR Rondale Moore is catching national attention.
Purdue is trending upward, and with the No. 2 team in the country going to its house on a Saturday night, emotions will be high.
Prior to the game actually starting, Ohio State players were making their way to their side of the field to warm up. However, Purdue came out of its tunnel at just the right time to meet with the Buckeye players.
