WATCH: Purdue’s ‘Cancer Sucks’ chant is perfect

After much speculation during the week, fans on hand for Purdue’s game with Ohio State made a big change to the traditional “IU Sucks” chant.
The chant is a traditional one among the Boilermakers faithful. For every kickoff, Purdue fans chant “IU Sucks,” just to keep the rivalry with the Hoosiers alive every Saturday.
The change for Saturday’s game, which turned out to be incredible, replaced “IU” with “Cancer.” The small change is in honor of Purdue superfan and cancer-fighter Tyler Trent, along with all those who continue to battle the terrible disease.
WLFI Anchor Trevor Peters shared the video of the chant for the opening kickoff, and it is one chant fans of all teams can get behind:

Thankfully, Trent was able to make it to watch the game in person. He shared a photo to his personal Twitter account, and he is all decked out in a custom Purdue jacket and unique Purdue-themed haircut:

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tyler and everyone else who continues to be affected by cancer.
