Michigan is in the College Football Playoff picture.
OK, so we still have one week until the CFB Playoff committee releases its rankings for the first time this season, but if it was up to FOX college football analyst Joel Klatt, the Wolverines would be in. He’s got Jim Harbaugh and Co. in one of the top four spots.
Every week, Klatt updates his top 10, and each week, Michigan has been moving up in the rankings. And this time, the Wolverines come in at No. 4. He also has Ohio State in the top 10, rounding out the rankings.
Here is Klatt’s top 10 following Week 8:
- Alabama
- Clemson
- Notre Dame
- Michigan
- LSU
- Texas
- Oklahoma
- Georgia
- Florida
- Ohio State

Michigan has won back-to-back games against ranked opponents, knocking off No. 15 Wisconsin two weeks ago and No. 24 Michigan State last Saturday.
Ohio State lost for the first time all season, falling 49-20 to Purdue.
Klatt has been high on Michigan even after the loss to Notre Dame. His faith in the Wolverines has paid off, as they’re now the only team in the B1G without a conference loss.
With the Wolverines and Buckeyes each having one loss on the season, the annual battle between the two rivals could have B1G title and CFB Playoff implications.
