Remember Saturday night?

If you’re an Ohio State fan, you surely do. Unfortunately.

And if you’re a Purdue fan, there’s no question that you remember that upset. Purdue defeated then-ranked No. 2 Ohio State 49-20. It was a game to never forget if you love the Boilermakers.

Everything seemed to go right for Purdue. The Saturday night lights had Ross-Ade Stadium rocking. A 29-point thrashing ensued and Ohio State fell to No. 11 in the latest AP Poll. Purdue is now receiving votes.

On Tuesday, during the weekly Big Ten Teleconference, Purdue coach Jeff Brohm talked about the Buckeyes and what happened. He talked about some strategy and what Ohio State’s defense did — and how to attack it.

He also gave the Buckeyes quite a bit of respect:

“I do feel like they’ve got a very potent passing attack,” Brohm said. “I think they’ve got a great quarterback. Defensively, they probably need to shore up giving up some big plays but I think they have the ability and I can foresee them running the table from here on out. And I know that’s hard for people to see now because you suffer a loss but they did the same thing last year and they bounced back and they played very well. And really it’s about the leaders on the team stepping forward, the coaches doing their part. But I know that they can get that done and I wouldn’t want to play them again.”

When you pull a massive upset, sometimes everything just comes together. Would Purdue beat Ohio State by 29 points if they played again this weekend?

Probably not.
