We’re one week away from the first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2018 season. Who wants to wait that long to talk about the national championship?
Though we won’t know the rankings for a few days, ESPN did update its Playoff Eliminator, providing a list of teams that it believes is still in the running for one of the four spots. Three B1G teams remain in the mix.
Ohio State, Michigan and Iowa are all very much alive in the CFB Playoff race, all with just one loss right now. With the strength of schedule ahead and a B1G Championship Game waiting at the end of the year, it would be hard to deny any of the three teams if any were to win out.
So, while a few things may have to happen here and there, you could say that all three teams still control their destiny.
Here’s a look at ESPN’s Playoff Eliminator, which now has just 15 teams eligible for the CFB Playoff:
- Alabama
- Clemson
- Notre Dame
- Georgia
- Michigan
- Oklahoma
- Ohio State
- LSU
- Florida
- Iowa
- West Virginia
- Texas
- Washington State
- Kentucky
- Texas A&M
