WATCH: Kirk Ferentz previews Iowa’s matchup with Penn State

Iowa has been one of the pleasant surprises in college football, posting a 6-1 record through the first stretch of the season. And now, the Hawkeyes have a chance to add an impressive victory to their resumé.

Saturday, Iowa travels to Penn State for a top 25 matchup in Happy Valley. The game is especially huge for the Hawkeyes, who hope to remain in the B1G West race.

On Tuesday, head coach Kirk Ferentz previewed this weekend’s matchup with the Nittany Lions. He talked about having familiarity with Penn State’s style and personnel, something he believes can help with preparation.

He’s also expecting another close game. Last year’s battle in Iowa City was won on the final play of the game, when Trace McSorley hit Juwan Johnson in the end zone to clinch a Penn State victory.
