Washington State coach Mike Leach ‘can’t figure out’ how Division I can’t get playoff system right

Before the current College Football Playoff system, there was the fan favorite BCS.

A bit of sarcasm there. There was always a debate as to who the top two teams were. So, college football now has a 4-team playoff. But many think that’s not enough, either.

Some years you have teams go undefeated like UCF, along with the Power 5 conference winners all believing they are worthy. And, maybe they are deserving of at least the chance to prove they’re the best. But until there is another expansion, that can’t happen.

Washington State head coach Mike Leach has a problem with that:

Leach just can’t figure out how Division I can’t put a reasonable tournament together. He proposes 16 teams to be in it.

Heck, even “rec league softball” can figure that one out.
