Tyler Johnson might be one of the most underappreciated receivers in the B1G. But the Minnesota star is making a name for himself on Friday night.
In the first half of the Gophers’ matchup against Indiana, Johnson hauled in four catches for 87 yards and two touchdowns. That fourth reception was the receiver’s 100th of his career. And it came in memorable fashion.
Johnson’s 100th catch in a Gopher uniform came on an 18-yard touchdown reception, capping an eight-play, 99-yard drive for Minnesota. He gave his team a two-touchdown lead over the Hoosiers at halftime.

Entering Saturday’s game, Johnson had 47 catches for 705 yards and six touchdowns on the season. In three seasons, he’s racked up over 1,500 yards and accounted for 14 receiving touchdowns for Minnesota.
Johnson led the Gophers in receiving last fall and currently leads the team again this season.
