Wisconsin is smack dab in the middle of a heated Big Ten West division race with three other teams — Northwestern, Iowa, and Purdue — who all have just one loss in conference play heading into Week 9’s action.
Today the Badgers are facing off on the road against the Wildcats with a backup quarterback and a thin depth chart on defense in a contest that could determine how the B1G title game shapes up by the end of November.
Though Northwestern took an early 7-0 lead, Wisconsin was able to respond to tie it up after safety Evan Bondoc’s excellent interception where he just barely got his hands underneath the ball thanks to a timely tip from linebacker Ryan Connelly:

Wisconsin, which entered as a 4-point favorite, will need more big plays like this in order to knock off a Wildcats opponent that has secured a win in 11 of its last 12 Big Ten games.
