Penn State was hoping to close the door on Iowa. With a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter, the Nittany Lions had the football and were hoping to milk some clock and maybe put the Hawkeyes away with another score.
But Iowa defender Geno Stone spoiled those plans.
Trace McSorley misfired on a pass in his own territory and the pass was intercepted by Stone. He then returned the ball back to the end zone to dice into that 10-point lead.
After the touchdown, Iowa trailed 27-24.

That was the third interception for Stone this season. It might’ve been his biggest yet.
Headed into Saturday’s game, Stone had 11 tackles, two interceptions and a pass break-up.
