Tyler Trent’s story has gone national.
Trent, a former Purdue student who has terminal bone cancer and is dealing with his third bout, was featured in a Week 8 College GameDay special with Tom Rinaldi in lieu of the Boilermakers’ big game with Ohio State. His story grabbed the attention of millions and only grew later in the night when Purdue destroyed the No. 2 Buckeyes, 49-20.
Now even rival schools are jumping on board to give their support.
Michigan State students had an orchestrated plan to chant “cancer Sucks” during the team’s afternoon matchup with Purdue and it was a special scene:
