ESPN updates CFB Playoff predictions following Week 9

The point in the season everyone has been waiting for has finally arrived. With the month of October in the rearview mirror, the release of the College Football Playoff rankings are just around the corner.

On Tuesday, the CFB Playoff selection committee will produce its first top 25 of the 2018 season, giving fans some insight as to who the best four teams in the sport are headed into the final month of the season. But before we hear from the committee, ESPN has made some CFB Playoff predictions.

Each week of the college football season, four ESPN college football reporters make their CFB Playoff predictions. And after Week 9, the selections are nearly unanimous. With the exception of a single team, all four reporters have the same Top 4.

Only one B1G team, from one reporter, made the cut.

Here’s what the Top 4 looks like, according to ESPN:
