WATCH: Tyler Trent leads special ‘Iowa Wave’ at Ross-Ade Stadium

This is an incredible gesture from Purdue and superfan Tyler Trent.
Trent, a cancer fighter and supporter of all things Purdue, was on hand earlier this year for the Boilermakers’ game against Ohio State. Purdue would roll to a 49-20 win in that game after Trent’s story was shared on ESPN’s College GameDay.
Purdue is now taking on Iowa Saturday, and Trent wanted to do something special to honor the “Iowa Wave.” Most fans will remember that the wave, which was started last season, involves fans in the stadium turning to wave at Iowa’s children’s hospital at the end of the first quarter.
The only issue is Saturday’s game is being played in Ross-Ade Stadium and not at Iowa. Nevertheless, Trent, who is once again in attendance for the game, encouraged the Purdue faithful to take time to do the wave.
Andrew Pogar, Sports Director for WLFI, shared the video of Trent’s request and Purdue’s wave. Needless to say, the wave is awesome no matter where it takes place:

The UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital took time to respond and thank Purdue and Trent for the inspiring gesture:
