Is it possible that Shea Patterson is still getting better?
In the first half of Saturday’s game between Penn State and Michigan, Patterson was faced with a 3rd-and-7, trying to keep a drive alive. Rather than just picking up the necessary yardage, the Wolverines quarterback had a touchdown on his mind, delivering a pass to Donovan Peoples-Jones for a score.
The pass was right on the money and Peoples-Jones made a great catch along the sideline. The touchdown gave the Wolverines a 14-0 lead in the second quarter.

Patterson has made several big-time plays throughout the season, but his passing ability continues to improve. At least that’s how it seems.
The Michigan quarterback accounted for both of Michigan’s first half touchdowns. He also scored on a short run in the first quarter.
Patterson had 12 touchdown passes entering Saturday’s game. Peoples-Jones had 326 receiving yards and six touchdown catches prior to the game.
