The sky is the limit for Michigan this season as the team rolled to a 42-7 drubbing of Penn State Saturday.
The win was the eighth consecutive for the Wolverines, and a trip to the College Football Playoff remains in sight with just three games left in the season. Rutgers is the next team on deck for Michigan as the self-proclaimed revenge tour heads into the home stretch.
After the win over Penn State, Michigan continued its rise towards the Playoff. ESPN’s Playoff Predictor updated the odds for teams to make the final four, and the Wolverines are now in the fourth spot.
According to the Predictor, the Wolverines are given a 50% chance to make the Playoff. Clemson, Alabama, and Notre Dame are the only teams with a higher percentage. Additionally, Michigan was also given a 20% chance to make the National Championship Game. That mark is third-best on the Predictor behind Clemson and Alabama.
Before the vision of a Playoff trip can be realized, Michigan must take care of Rutgers, Indiana, and the biggest stop on the revenge tour in Ohio State. Can Jim Harbaugh’s squad pull it off?
